最近大家有没有被一部叫做《海王》的好莱坞大片刷屏呢？
《海王》由亚裔导演温子仁指导，中国大陆的上映时间比北美还早两周。并且一上映就获得了非常棒的口碑，获得最多的评价是海底世界的景色足够震撼人心，带来了充分的视觉享受！
其实近年来漫威、DC的超级英雄电影在大屏幕上屡见不鲜，比如复仇者联盟、正义联盟、蚁人、海王等。
相信大家如果看了电影的话也注意到了，“海王”的英文标题是“Aquaman”。“Aqua-”经常用于与水有关的前缀，而“-man”是超级英雄最常见的命名方式。
其实直译过来就是“水人”，一下子少了很多霸气有没有！
我们可以列举出很多用“-man”命名的超级英雄：超人（Superman）、蝙蝠侠（Batman）、钢铁侠李饥（Iron man）、蜘蛛侠（Spider-man）等。
“-man”在英语中就是不带褒贬色彩的“人”的意思。超级英雄漫画最早被引进到中国时，台湾喜欢翻译成“人”，而有武侠文化文化的香港喜欢翻译成“侠”。因为这些超级英雄也像中国古代的侠客一样行侠仗义。而中国大陆选用最多的是香港“侠”的译法。
进入21世纪之后，随着越来越多译成“xx侠”的电影上映，“xx人”的译法在内地渐渐见得少了。不过台湾的译法仍然是“蜘蛛人”“钢铁人”。
不过这并不是绝对的——“蚁人（Ant-man）”就被翻译成了“人”，不过香港的蚁人依然翻译成了“蚁侠”。
“超人（Superman）”在两岸三地也依然被翻译成“人”，毕竟“超级侠”听上去有点别扭！说到超人，也不得不提一下虽然并不属于漫威或者DC但仍然用“-man”命名的奥特曼（Ultraman），在香港也被译成“超人”。此“超人”非彼“超人“～
此外，也有些超英本来的名字是没有“-man”的，但在中文翻译里依然加上了“侠”或者“人”。“绿巨人”英文里面就叫Hulk（浩克），“Hulk”在英文里有“笨重的船、庞然大物”的意思，加上他是绿的，中文翻译成“绿巨人”也是为了通俗易懂，毕竟光叫“浩克”可能让人觉得云里雾里。类似的还有闪电侠（The Flash），直译就是闪电，加上侠字也是为了通俗好记。夜魔侠（Daredevil），“Dare”作名词是“挑战”，作动词是“敢”，“devil”则是“恶魔”，因此夜魔侠也被翻译成超胆侠。绿灯侠原名是“ Green Lantern”，直译就是“绿灯”，也没有“侠”。
还有一个特例是X战警系列，X战警的原文也是“X-men”，内地并没有其他译成“战警”的例子。不过台湾的绿灯侠是译成《绿光战警》。
不过话说回来，别人都是人或者侠，或者战警，海王怎么就翻译成了王呢？
其实在漫画里，海王有个别名叫“ The King of the Seven Seas（七海之王） ”，这说明“海王”这个译名是有依据的，翻译成海王也能更直观地表现角色特点，毕竟他真的是王，不是一般人。而“Aquaman”其实更多的是出于电影里的地球普通大众的视角，因为他们把大多数超级人类都称作“xxman”。
还有一纤扰升个附加的小知识，漫威的“复仇者联盟”和DC的“正义联盟”虽然在中文里都叫“联盟”，英文的命名格式却并不一样。“复仇者联盟”是“The Avengers”，直译就是“复仇者们”。而“正义联盟”则是“Justice League”，中文译名就是直译的。至于复联为什么加上了联盟二字，我也无从考证，可能最初漫画引进时的译者也是为了通俗易懂，毕竟毁老在漫画 历史 上正义联盟比复仇者联盟出来得要早，漫威创造出复仇者联盟最初也有和DC的正义联盟竞争漫画销量的意思。
其实每部电影的译名都是综合了很多因素决定的，重要的不是怎么翻才对，而是大家看外国电影的时候能够产生对英语的兴趣，毕竟生活中的英语无处不在呀～
