    【成语故事】:

    出处:《史记 季布来布列传》秦朝末年,在楚地有一个叫季布的人,性情耿直,为人侠义好助。只要是他答应过的事情,无论有多大困难,都设法办到,受到大家的赞扬。

    楚汉相争时,季布是项羽的部下,曾几次献策,使刘邦的军队吃了败仗,刘邦当了皇帝后,想起这事,就气恨不已,下令通缉季布。

    这时敬慕季布为人,都在暗中帮助他。不久,季布经过化装后到山东一家姓朱的人家当佣工。朱家明知他是季布,仍收留了他,后来,朱家又到洛阳去找刘邦的老朋友汝阴候夏候婴说情。刘邦在夏候婴的劝说下撤消了对季布的通缉令,还封季布做了郎中,不久又改做河东太守。

    有一个季布的同乡人曹邱生,专爱结交有权势的官员,藉以炫耀和抬高自己,季布一向看不起他。听说季布又做了大官,他就马上去见季布。

    季布听说曹邱生要来,就虎著脸,准备发落几句话,让他下不了台。谁知曹邱生一进厅堂,不管季布的脸色多么阴沉,话语多么难听,立即对着季布又是打躬,又是作揖,要与季布拉家常叙旧。并吹捧说:「我听到楚地到处流传着『得黄金千两,不如得季布一诺』这样的话,您怎么能有这样好的名声传扬在梁、楚两地的呢?我们既是同乡,我又到处宣扬你链则薯的好名声,你为什么不愿见到我呢?」季布听了盯蚂曹邱生的这番话,心里顿时高兴起来,留下他住几个月,作为贵客招待。临走,还送给他一笔厚礼。

    后来,曹邱生又继续替李布到处宣扬,季布的名声也就越来越大了。
