英语专业开设在大学三年级的《英语视听说》课程是一、二年级的英语听力课和英语口语课的结合与延续。本课程利用多媒体和语言实验室的声频和功能,使学生通过观看内容贴近生活的情景会话和真实的视听素材,接触地道的、“原汁原味”的英语。教师在课堂中可循序渐进地对学生进行语言交际技能的训练,提高学生的英语口语交际能力。以外语教学与研究出版社出版的《大学英语视听说教程》为例,该教材的内容构成主要是情景会话和与之余裤宏相关的背景文化短篇,基本上都是日常生活的话题和场景。在教学过程中,教师可先让学生观看视听材料进行语言输入,教师进行语言点讲竖册解和相应的文化背景知识介绍,要求学生完成听力理解题和听写填空题,以检测学生对视听内容的理解程度。学生掌握视听内容后,教师可组织学生就所学的语言、话题或相应情景进行口语交际练习,即语言输出。形式可以是根据所给定的情景分组进行对话练习,或就某话题、观点进行讨论或辩论。此时学生是主体,教师不要过多干预。而对语音方面的问题,可通过练习发音、单词、绕口令、诗歌以及歌曲等纯指形式,进行语音语调的训练。
