A Report on the Employment Intentions of College Students
In recent years, with the continuous expansion of higher education and the increasingly fierce job market competition, the employment issue of college students has attracted widespread attention. Therefore, we conducted a survey on the employment intentions of college students to understand their thoughts and expectations.
A total of 65 graduating students from Shandong University participated in this survey. The questionnaire was designed in both electronic and paper forms to ensure the convenience and comprehensiveness of data collection. The results of the survey were analyzed statistically and presented using Excel diagrams for a more intuitive understanding.
The survey results showed that most college students aspire to obtain a stable job with a high salary. They tend to choose to work in big cities or even abroad, where they believe there are better development prospects. When it comes to the impact of gender on job applications, the majority of respondents believed that gender does not have a significant influence. However, in terms of the abilities that are considered advantageous in job hunting, communication skills, teamwork skills, and professional knowledge were ranked highly.
In addition, when asked about the abilities that need improvement during the job search process, many students pointed out that practical experience and problem-solving skills were crucial. They also expressed the need to enhance their adaptability and stress management skills to better cope with the challenges of the workplace.
Based on the findings of this survey, it is recommended that colleges and universities strengthen career guidance and practical training for students to help them better prepare for the job market. Students themselves should also actively seek internships and part-time jobs to accumulate practical experience and improve their comprehensive abilities.
