刚一口气把爱情与金钱看完了，这是书虫第一级第一本书，书不难读，侦探短篇，读后挺难受的。
先说剧情概要，莫莉女士有三个孩子，有姐姐，但是她家庭不幸福，孩子们长大了，光想着吃好的穿好的，不好好工作，问她要钱。她很生气。
尤察简其是她的一个女毕蠢儿，每月都回来问她要电话费，不给就威胁说要报警，说出真相，当妈的很害怕很生气，只好给她钱。
其他几个孩子也不省心，有的游手好闲不务正业，有的只想买名贵衣服，又不好好工作挣钱，光想啃老。
还有的一心谈恋爱，结果当妈的看不上她男朋友，嫌他穷酸。
总之，莫莉的三个孩子跟老妈关系都很僵。
莫莉其实独居，她的老公去年出车祸死了，她还有个生病的姐姐，姐妹俩关系也不和。
有一天晚上，孩子们都回到莫莉这里聚会吃晚餐，但是孩子们又问她要钱，说要她把老房子卖了，没必要住那么大房子，住个小点的，换点钱，改善一下家庭条件。
莫莉很生气，跟孩子们大吵了一家，上楼睡觉，结果第二天，她死了。
孩子们嚎啕大哭，但又暗自高兴，各怀鬼胎，想着怎么分财产。
但是老妈死的不明不白，平时负责给她看病的家庭医生看不过去，报警了。
警察上门验尸，挨个询问孩子们，大家说法不一，都想撇清关系，说自己没有杀害老妈。
最后警察也没说，谁是凶手，只是说，你们的母亲去世了，凶手我们早晚会查出来的，但是，你们做儿女的就高兴了吗，遗产你们迟早是分到，那又怎么样，扪心自问，你们到底对你们老妈怎么样。

看完我挺心酸的，想起了之前看的秘密花园，简爱，发现这些先说，全都是悲剧，家庭不和睦，造成多少人间悲剧。
